Connection to Employment
On Tuesday, June 14th, our region hosted a Workforce Development and Homeless Services Partnership Summit. Over 30 agencies came together to establish effective referral processes between local homeless assistance programs and public and community workforce programs that connect adults who are experiencing homelessness with the employment and training supports.
Together we developed a vision to move forward together with - Build and foster two-way streamlined referring relationships among employment and homeless assistance agencies to:
- Work together in proactive and responsive ways to eliminate homelessness and increase work and/or income
- Maximize results for clients and
- Share successes between agencies
