FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT JUNE 28, 2018
The Greater Richmond Continuum of Care (GRCoC) is pleased to announce the availability of funding for homeless services in the Richmond region through the US. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD released the Notice of Funding Availability for the FY 2018 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition on June 20, 2018. The CoC program is designed to:
- Promote a community-based solution to ending homelessness;
- Provide funding to nonprofits, States, and local governments to prevent and quickly re-house individual and families experiencing homelessness;
- Minimize the trauma and dislocation that individuals, families, and communities experience as a result of homelessness; and
- Promote the effective utilization of mainstream resources.

FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT JULY 6, 2018
Applications are now available for the HUD FY 2018 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition. All documents related to the competition including complete applications instructions and forms are posted above. The CoC program is designed to:
- Promote a community-based solution to ending homelessness;
- Provide funding to nonprofits, States, and local governments to prevent and quickly re-house individual and families experiencing homelessness;
- Minimize the trauma and dislocation that individuals, families, and communities experience as a result of homelessness; and
- Promote the effective utilization of mainstream resources.
The consolidated application must be submitted to HUD by 8pm on September 18, 2018 Project applications must be submitted to Homeward, Lead Applicant, by August 2, 2018 Please refer to the FY18 HUD CoC Process and Timeline for complete list of deadlines.
Eligible Applicants
New and renewal applicants are invited to apply and new applicants are encouraged to contact the Coordinated Grants Administrator for technical assistance. All applicants must meet GRCoC threshold requirements for grant applicants, 2018 Funding Priorities and HUD requirements contained in the FY18 HUD CoC Notice of Funding Availability. It is the responsibility of the applicant to review and comply with all requirements.

Eligible Projects
Eligible new and renewal projects include: 1) Permanent Supportive Housing for chronically homeless individuals and families; and 2) Rapid Rehousing for homeless families and individuals, including unaccompanied youth.
New projects may be funded through a Permanent Housing bonus, a Domestic Violence bonus or available reallocated funds.

PROJECT PRIORITY LISTING ANNOUNCEMENT August 28, 2018
The Greater Richmond CoC is applying for $5,402,772 in federal funding through the HUD CoC funding competition. The Greater Richmond CoC Board approved the project priority listing on August 27, 2018 as recommended by the Greater Richmond CoC Ranking Committee. This list of project applications is ranked in order of funding priority and will be submitted to HUD as part of the Greater Richmond CoC Consolidated Application for funding.

The Greater Richmond CoC APPLICATION REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT August 31, 2018
The Greater Richmond CoC is applying for $5,402,772 in federal funding through the HUD CoC funding competition. The consolidated grant application has several components. The first component, the project priority listing, was approved by the Greater Richmond CoC Board on August 27, 2018 and is posted above. A second component of this consolidated application is the CoC Application which includes information about the Greater Richmond CoC governance structure and strategic planning process and goals. A draft of the CoC application is now available for your review and comment. Please note that several charts appear to be incomplete due to a glitch in HUD’s electronic grant system. A new draft will be uploaded once this is corrected.
