Youth Action Board

The GRCoC Youth Action Board has been a standing committee of the CoC since 2021

The goals of the YAB are to:

Provide youth-centered guidance to the CoC board and relevant committees on funding, evaluation, data collection, and community resources;
Raise and address community needs for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in the greater Richmond region;
Create sustainable, effective, and equitable youth engagement in CoC leadership;
Creatively address community barriers and/or gaps to ending youth homelessness;
Develop a youth-specific addendum to the GRCoC’s current strategy to prevent and end youth homelessness, including youth-specific strategies and objectives;
Oversee youth-specific projects and initiatives, including setting and evaluating measurable outcomes for youth projects.
